Who We Are
The “SHARP Network” (SHARP) is a program of P.E.AC.E. Project 597. SHARP is a collaboration between domestic violence (DV) shelters, law enforcement agencies, animal welfare organizations and veterinarians to assist DV clients with temporary housing options and care for their companion pets.
Mission
Our mission is to break the cycle of violence by assisting domestic violence survivors with safe sheltering resources for their pets; therefore encouraging the survivor and family to seek the help they need.
Purpose
The S.H.A.R.P. Network’s purpose is to encourage DV survivors to leave their abusive environment, take their pets with them and obtain help at an emergency shelter.
